Gurugram-based online food delivery startup Zomato has confirmed it fired 70-100 employees from its customer support team at its Gurugram office, reportedly as a cost-cutting measure. It reportedly spends about ₹4-5 per order on customer support and after-sales services per food order. However, Zomato said the firings were carried out due to redundancies in its current customer support workforce.
